What does GRJV mean? 

GRJV is an acronym for George Richard John Vierkandt, Rick's legal name.

Did you go to school for photography?

No. I have had the pleasure of working for world renowned artists and I have picked up tips along the way. I have used trial and error to learn a lot of things. "If what you are doing isn't working, try something else!" The ultimate way to learn photography is to take photographs. 

Anything you would really like to photograph?

YES! Tons of things. My list is long. Since I am based in Las Vegas, I am always hoping to photograph some unique "pets" . I have gotten the opportunity to photograph a lion that was getting a checkup at the veterinarian.

Where is the best place to hold a session?

The best place to hold a session is wherever is the most comfortable environment for your pet. If you would like a scenic location, I also have several ideas of where to go!

Do you only photograph pets?

Pets are my main focus, however I have photographed Senior portraits, Model portfolios, babies, and various events. I also started out by taking wildlife and landscape photographs.

What is the best way to prepare for the photo session?

The best way to prepare to photograph your pets is to make sure that they have done their "business". It also is a good idea to walk your dog. It is also possible to refrain from food or treats a small amount of time before so that the attention to treats is higher. You also know your pet best, if you want photos of him/her sleeping maybe take them for a long walk or play with them so that they are a tad tired.

My pet is shy, agressive, doesn't know sit...... Will you still be able to get great photos?

Of Course! I have photographed numerous pets in various situations and can always get some great images worthy of a place on the wall! I have been around a lot of rescue dogs and photographed them some of them have never heard the word Sit, some can be aggressive towards certain people. They all ended up with great photos! I employ some of my "wildlife" experience into photographing some pets to make sure they are comfortable.

I have an older pet and their time is limited. Can you arrange a shoot on short notice?

YES! I always can find time to photograph your senior pet. Photos of your pet to remember them is key, it will serve as a great memory! Please contact us and we can discuss anything specific to your needs.

What if I need to cancel my photo session?

Oh No! I understand that emergencies happen and ask for at least 24 hour notice of cancellation. 

How long is my session photos stored online or in your files?

I keep all photos in backup for a long time! Please remember your shoot date and I can assist in getting your photos back online for viewing.
